Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Emre Tezmen, CFA, graduated with High Academic Distinction from the Economics Department of ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in 1995, and went on to complete his MBA with Great Distinction at VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) in 1997. He also holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and is a regular member of the CFA Institute.

Throughout his professional career, Tezmen has led pioneering work in the finance and technology sectors, taking a significant step in innovation by launching one of Turkey’s first online trading platforms. As a co-founder, he serves as Chairman of the Board at Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Tera Portföy Yönetimi, Tera Finans Faktoring and Tera Yatırım Bankası, and also continues as Chairman of the Board at Tera Yatırım Teknoloji Holding, Tera Finansal Yatırımlar Holding, Tera Yatırım Holding and Peker GYO.

Since September 2024, he has continued his work as Chairman of the Board of the Barikat Group, providing strategic leadership in cybersecurity and technology. Since 2022 he has served on the Board and as Chair of the Venture Capital Committee of DEİK / Digital Technologies Business Council, and since 2023 as a Board Member of the Central Securities Depository (MKK), contributing to the security and transparency of the financial system.

With his international experience, entrepreneurial vision and leadership approach, Tezmen plays an active role in the development of Turkey’s financial and technological infrastructure, and continues his efforts to support sustainable growth in both sectors.
